FAQ: FAQ

How do you differ from other dog-walkers?

We walk with dogs because we love to walk with dogs. It’s a continuation of over 25 years of large and small animal husbandry that we’ve worked hard to have as a main focus in our lives.  We are at a stage in life where we can have the great enjoyment and satisfaction of walking with dogs without the concern of trying to get as many walks in as possible with the largest groups possible.

It means we aren’t rushing through walks to get to the next group. It means your dog is going to receive the attention and care that they should be receiving. And you are getting the service you are entitled to.

Are you trainers or dog-behaviourists?

No but we are actively taking accredited positive reinforcement dog behaviour courses and dog training courses. We have also had one-on-one training for the common issues of pulling and reactivity We regularly take seminars and courses in a variety of topics from loose-leash walking to canine well-being courses.

How many dogs do you walk at once?

We believe in keeping our packs small to allow for exploration by the dogs and for safety purposes. For these reasons the maximum is 6 but of course size matters and we wouldn't be walking 6 Great Danes at once!

Do I need to be home

You don’t need to be home. We have keys and codes for all our clients' homes. We label the key only by the first few letters of your dog's name and we are also insured and bonded.

Where is my dog going to be walked?

Our area is rich in trails, parks, riversides and beaches and this is where we walk We like to change up the locations for the dogs throughout the week. (We do not walk through concrete neighbourhoods unless your dog is enjoying the 30 minute or less walks. Typically these are for senior dogs or very young pups.)

What experience do you have?

We have 5+ years of experience walking dogs specifically coupled with education in dog behaviour and training. We also have been involved with animal husbandry for over 25 years.
